Continuing with my mission to get us all to buy more gifts and items for themselves from small business people rather than big box, chain, or department stores, I am featuring another small business owner, located here in California, who makes and sells hip, colorful and stylish five-wrap bracelets.

Last summer, my stepdaughter and I spent several days in Lake Tahoe, just the two of us. While shopping in the charming town of Truckee, we came across dozens of beautiful beaded wrap bracelets laying across the counter at a high-end boutique. 

Tori and I both went crazy for them and decided to pick out two that we would share.

Tori chose this one, "Luxurious Party Wrap":

And I selected this blue and green number:

The following day, we had lunch, then shopped around Tahoe City. We walked into another women's fashion boutique and lo and behold, the wrap bracelets were there too! Turns out, it was the same shop, just different locations.

Somehow, we rationalized buying another three!

A "Beautiful Sunrise Wrap Chan Luu Style" wrap bracelet,

a "Lovely Pastel Chan Luu Style",

and a "Deep Colorful Rich Wrap Chan Luu Style" with a vibrant dash of red.

Tori and I share the five of them and boy, do we wear them....and often!

When I returned home late August, I contacted the owner and artist, Lize, who makes these gorgeous, vibrant and modern bracelets. I told her how much I love her creations and asked if she'd be willing to give one away during the holidays to a reader. She agreed!
